The Old Fashioned - Standard Edition
The history of the Old Fashioned begins in 1880 at the Pendennis Club located in Louiseville, Kentucky. It is said that this legendary cocktail was created by a barman at the Club in honor of flamboyant industrial Colonel James E. Pepper, a master Bourbon distiller who had raised to aristocratic status with his family’s brand. Pepper is quite the jet setter of his era and often travels to the Waldorf Astoria in New York where it is said the Colonel introduced the now famous drink to his fellow industrial friends Rockefeller, Roosevelt, Vanderbilt, Pillsbury, Pabst and Tiffany to name a few. The term Old Fashioned is more than a simple recipe, it’s a method that can be declined almost infinitely. You will find in this curated gift box all the necessary products to create this classic and elegant recipe. Each object has been carefully chosen for its superior quality and we hope the experience will also inspire you to exchange great ideas around this refined and timeless cocktail.
